Position Summary

This Lab Technician will support within assigned projects/activities, responsible from planning, testing, and analysis for all product development and improvement activities & other relevant activities to meet stakeholder, consumer, and business needs.

You will play an important role to:

1. Work according to relevant Vinda requirements documents stored in document control system and practice good laboratory practices.
2. Perform relevant lab testing according to lab request and project needs. Ensure observation during the testing are recorded, data accuracy is in place, conduct statistical analysis and report writing with recommendation and conclusions in timely reporting.
3. Initiate and participate in continual work processes improvement in laboratory and/or work with respective process/product owners for improvement purposes.
4. Prepare and create prototypes to fulfill requirements of the internal customer and to illustrate product ideas and solutions. Identify most suitable method to produce test products on the prototype’s samples.
5. Maintain a good knowledge on internal and external test methods and relevant laboratory apparatus handling for all product categories.
6. Responsible for sample collection and conducting laboratory test during new machine qualification.
7. If necessary, to support PD in validation or trial run for project.
8. Identify & highlight if there are any potential test method improvement areas.
9. Create and/or maintaining an updated version of SOP/WI/Form/any related business documents (e.g., SDS/ Calibration certificate) & ensure all related parties are updated with the latest document revised.
10. Responsible for proper housekeeping, safety and health related rules, procedure & policies are followed by everyone.
11. Responsible for record down actual inventory level in the excel files when removing lab consumables from the inventory storage area and maintain it always at safe inventory level and issue a purchase order for it if needed.
12. Ensure all laboratory equipment’s yearly calibration, maintenance and repair are in place.
13. To comply and participate in Halal, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, ISO9001, any company certifications, policies, and regulations.
14. Supporting function of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or other company certifications activities as when needed.
15. Act & perform other duties as assigned within organization.
16. Perform testing and analysis for competitor products within the given lead time. Support laboratory engineer in delivering competitor analysis and reporting activities.
17. Responsible for operating lab apparatus/equipment in a proper manner.
18. Acts with consumers in mind. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Minimum SPM from Sciences background.
• Good knowledge on absorbent and hygiene materials is preferred
• Knowledge in the manufacturing process of disposables and hygiene products
• Knowledge in personal care / tissue products/ Raw materials
• Knowledge in statistical tools and analysis is an advantage
• Positive attitude and aptitude
• Could work under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Various Statistical understanding
• Good in planning, time management and prioritization
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge – especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Able to converse in English
• Able to understand simple mathematic
