A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Sales Executive for a plastic division based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves promoting resin materials to local manufacturers in the food packaging industry, managing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience in the plastic industry and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the resin and plastic industry.
- Experience with extrusion and plastic injection machine components.
- Familiarity with sustainable materials like compostable or recycled plastics.
Responsibilities
- Promote resin materials to Malaysian manufacturers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with local companies.
- Provide technical support during the initial sales phase.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research.
Skills
Our client specializes in global trading of a wide range of products. As part of their business expansion, they are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Executive for their plastic division. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
- Promote resin materials to Malaysian manufacturers in food packaging, cutlery, and related industries
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with local companies, providing tailored solutions and product recommendations
- Handle and explain extrusion machine parts during the initial phase, offering basic technical support to clients
- Transition into selling plastic products, especially those made from bio-plastics and other environmentally friendly materials
- Identify new business opportunities and conduct market research to support sales growth
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the resin and plastic industry, particularly in extrusion
- Experience in handling and selling plastic injection or extrusion machine barrels and screws, or other related components
- Familiarity with sustainable materials such as compostable, biomass, or recycled plastics is as added advantage
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally for client meetings and site visits
