We are seeking to hire a Maternity Cover Teacher with experience in an international school for commencement Jan 2025.
Purpose of Role
To lead learning through a supportive and trusting environment within the department. Key Responsibilities
- Support for Students
- Work with small groups of children under the supervision of the teacher.
- Give regular feedback on children’s progress to the class teacher.
- Attend to children’s personal needs, including pastoral, social, health, physical hygiene, minor first aid and welfare matters.
- Establish good relationships with students and be a role model with a positive personal image.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
- Encourage students to act independently as appropriate.
- Support for Teachers
- Provide curricular clerical/admin support.
- Prepare the classroom for lessons, including clear display work.
- Undertake student record keeping as requested.
- Support the teacher in managing student behaviour and reporting difficulties.
- Establish constructive relationships with parents/carers.
- Support for the Curriculum
- Provide curriculum/resource support.
- Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop students’ competence and independence.
- Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed by the teacher.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Education or its equivalent.
- Preferably 3+ years of primary school teaching experience.
- Ability to teach in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
