Job Description
- Overseeing and managing the Finance & Purchasing Department
 
- Responsible for accurate and timely submission of financial and management reports and ensure adherence to financial, accounting and operational procedures
 
- Responsible for providing accurate and timely submission of financial and cash flow forecast as well as accuracy on forecasting operational performance.
 
- Responsible for annual budgeting and preparing of statutory accounts.
 
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory bodies.
 
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, variances, and trends; recommend corrective actions where necessary.
 
- Effective management of working capital especially on management of debtors and inventories.
 
- Liaise with bankers on banking facilities, foreign exchange and money market transactions, letter of credit and other banking matters.
 
- Review and analyze cost accounting report.
 
- Recommend and implement internal control and corporate governance processes.
 
- Supervise, train and take leadership role in developing accounting staff
 
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activities including vendor selection, price negotiation, purchase order issuance, and contract management.
 
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost competitiveness
 
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations.
 
- Implement effective controls to minimize wastage, stock obsolescence, and discrepancies.
 
- Ensure fixed assets are properly recorded, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with policy.
 
- Lead and develop the Finance & Purchasing team to ensure high performance, integrity, and professionalism.
 
- Preparation of tax computations for review by Group Tax Department and submission of applications for various tax incentives.
 
- Handle annual insurance renewals and attend to all audit queries relating to annual accounts.
 
- Any other duties assigned by the Head of Business Unit from time to time.
 
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
 
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
 
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in finance/ accountancy.
 
- Experience in refinery, palm oil or manufacturing industry preferred
