Job Summary
The Operations Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing data, performing analysis, developing and executing demand and supply chain plans that ensure optimal outcomes. The position supports the analysis and optimization of supply chain processes, operational efficiency, and planning accuracy. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives and develops planning models using various systems and tools, with a focus on new product development and all commercially launched products.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze data, develop, and execute demand and supply chain plans.
- Assist in developing and maintaining supply chain planning models with core teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection and master data integrity.
- Work with project management on New Product Introduction, demand, and transition plans based on product lifecycle.
- Update and review routine forecasts and safety stock for finished goods SKUs.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and conduct analysis of forecasting models for improvements.
- Review production build plans regularly for finished goods and sub-assembly parts.
- Perform ad hoc data analyses for business reporting.
- Create checklists to ensure completeness of demand planning processes.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Analyze inputs and develop plans to ensure smooth transition from old to new products, minimizing obsolete inventory and ensuring timely launches.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other departments to align forecast requirements and supply chain goals.
- Monitor, review, and address issues proactively, updating project statuses and plans.
- Identify and support process improvements and standardization initiatives.
- Conduct capacity and constraint planning to meet business targets.
- Work with IT/IS to develop and enhance planning tools and systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience ranges from 0-5 years for Jr Analyst, 5-8 years for Analyst, and 8+ years for Sr. Analyst.
- Experience in demand & supply chain planning, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Excel, data management tools, SQL, and reporting tools like SSIS/SSAS/SSRS.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Rapid Response, Oracle, SAP, or similar.
- Strong analytical, planning, project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering, and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Value-Added processes, and supply chain methodologies.
- Ability to synthesize multiple inputs and consider micro and macro factors.
- Effective communication skills across all management levels.
- Project management experience.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree preferred. Fields include Computer Science, Mechanical, Electronic, Mathematics, Information Technology, Data Science, Supply Chain, Statistics, etc.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based, requiring sitting, standing, walking, and computer use. Some travel and driving are necessary. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities. Work location: Malaysia.
