Your Job

As a Technical Project Manager (TPM) in Molex’s Copper Solutions Business Unit, you will lead a highly motivated, worldwide, cross-functional team through the New Product Development Process, from Project Initiation Approval to the Start of Production. You should be comfortable leading global cross-functional teams, working directly with customers, mentoring team members, solving problems, and making or being accountable for project-level decisions. Strong project management experience in technical business environments is essential.

You will thrive on moving the needle to achieve business objectives that will elevate Molex and our customers to the next level.

What You Will Do

1. Lead multiple New Product Development projects for both customer-specific and general market needs.
2. Ensure Molex key technology projects support customer deliverables by collaborating closely with customers.
3. Develop internal and external Project Charters that clearly define project strategy, scope, financials, and schedule.
4. Manage Project Change Control and Decision Documentation.
5. Develop and manage Project Plans through to closure, including transfer to Production.
6. Own and develop Macro Project Schedules, and hold accountable the Functional Team Members supporting Micro Schedules.
7. Identify, document, and execute risk reduction activities to minimize risks related to Cost, Quality, and Timing.
8. Handle Project Reporting and communication to Management and Customers.
9. Lead and mentor team members in project management principles, PDP processes, risk management, issue resolution, and decision making.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

1. Proven experience in Engineering or Manufacturing, with project management in product development.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, or related fields.
3. Ability to lead multinational teams in a matrixed organization.
4. Fluent in English with strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives and customers.
5. Flexible to work across time zones and willing to travel up to 25%.
6. Self-motivated and proficient in remote collaboration environments.
7. Obtain PMP certification within the first year of employment if not already certified.

What Will Put You Ahead

1. Mechanical design educational background or experience.
2. PMP Certified.
3. Master of Business Administration (MBA).
4. Experience in Engineering or Manufacturing.
5. Experience in customer or executive-facing roles.
6. SAP experience.
