Job summary
A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner responsible for determining production quantities, communicating instructions, and tracking preparation status. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's degree and one year of production planning experience in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of SAP or APS systems is a plus. This role offers opportunities for analytical thinking and collaboration with various departments.

Alton Intelligent Technology Sdn. Bhd. is wholly foreign-owned by Alton Industry Ltd. Group, a US-based global supplier of household products and industrial tools, with a total land area of 45.25 acres.
The base in Malaysia has established a comprehensive complex of six full-featured factories. These factories integrate motor assembly, sheet metal processing, injection moulding, general assembly lines, and automated intelligent warehousing.
In addition to the core production and storage areas, it also carefully designed a five-story modern office building, two three-story canteens and activity centers full of life, and four five-story dormitory buildings.
- Determine the specific production quantity and sequence of various products based on production plans and tasks.
- Communicate production instructions according to the established production schedule and notify relevant parties of any changes in production plans or instructions.
- Track the preparation status of materials, energy, equipment, personnel, and workspace required for production plans.
- Make reasonable adjustments to products and processes on the production line according to production change instructions and urgent orders.
- Conduct routine checks on daily production progress in each workshop and promptly report any issues to the relevant supervisors.
- Collect and analyze production progress data from each workshop, submit production progress reports in a timely manner, and provide regular feedback on the execution of production plans.
- Collect, organize, and archive various production and statistical records.
Bachelor’s degree or above, any discipline.
Proficient in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
Minimum 1 year of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment; outstanding fresh graduates with Mandarin proficiency may also be considered.
Experience coordinating with the sales department, plan release, or material control is preferred.
Proficient in Excel functions and pivot tables; experience with SAP or APS systems is a plus.
Clear analytical thinking, strong interpersonal and communication skills, responsible and motivated.
Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing); proficiency in Mandarin for collaboration with Chinese colleagues is an added advantage.
