A leading global biopharmaceutical company in Mexico City is seeking an experienced accountant to oversee financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team. The ideal candidate must be a Public Accountant with at least 4 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably in multinational firms. Proficiency in SAP and Excel along with fluency in English is needed. The role involves managing working capital and facilitating internal and external audits.

Formación

Job Description

Purpose of Job/Position

This position is responsible for the leadership, management and delivery of accounting results for corporate and local purposes, as well as the management of working capital, fixed assets, and compliance with accounting and statutory regulations. Also, this position will be in charge of verifying and guaranteeing compliance with the guidelines established by the region and by local regulations.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for the monthly closing of the company and preparation of local and corporate financial statements.
• Preparation and analysis of reports, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including BS, P&L, and Cash Flow, with their respective additional documentation that is required.
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
• Guarantee compliance alignment with internal policies and accounting estimates.
• Attention to internal and external audits.
• Preparation of reports to control entities Secretary of Economy, INEGI, SAT.
• Responsible for compliance with local and international SOX, IFRS, transfer pricing and local taxes.
• Administration and continuous improvement of the company's Working Capital.
• Assist the finance team in accounting topics.

Experience and Education

• Public Accountant.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in leadership or supervision roles in accounting areas.
• Experience in multinational companies (Very desirable).
• Experience leading teams.
• Knowledge and management of the application of NIFF, IFRS, SOX, JSOX etc.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations.
• Knowledge of control and administration of inventories, fixed assets, accounting, and accounts payable.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and Excel.
• Fluency in English.
