Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
• Minimum 1 year as Virtual Medical Assistant supporting U.S.-based practices.
• Hands-on experience with patient calls, scheduling, EMR documentation, and clinical workflows.
• Active HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain before start.
• Ability to work remotely and coordinate with a remote healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in English and Spanish, confirm appointments and route messages.
• Coordinate patient communications and manage EMR-driven workflows.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorizations as assigned.
• Collaborate with clinic supervisors and staff to handle high call volumes and ensure coverage.
