Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to support a US pulmonology practice. The role focuses on patient communication, medical records, and administrative tasks across multiple locations, with remote work from Mexico.

You will handle bilingual calls, manage EMR documentation, verify insurance, and assist with referrals while collaborating with on-site staff and other VMAs. A HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Minimum 1 year of Virtual Medical Assistant experience supporting US-based practices.
• Hands-on experience with patient calls, scheduling, EMR documentation, and clinical workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional phone etiquette, empathetic patient communication.
• Active HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain before first day.
• Ability to work independently and with remote healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Bilingual patient communication & phone support in English and Spanish; route messages and confirm appointments.
• Coordinate patient referrals and assist with specialist scheduling and referrals in coordination with providers.
• Assist in EMR workflows, monitor messages, manage queues, and support SOP documentation and clinic operations.
