Job summary

Shiji in Mexico City seeks a People & Culture Partner to lead the full employee lifecycle for the Mexico operation, aligning HR initiatives with business goals and Mexican labor law compliance. You will collaborate with employees, managers, and leaders across Mexico and the United States to deliver strategic HR support.

The role covers talent acquisition, payroll coordination, benefits, policy development, and investigations, fostering a compliant, high-performing workplace.

Qualifications

• Five+ years progressive HR experience in Mexico.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience with full lifecycle HR, payroll, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican labor laws.
• Ability to travel locally.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary People & Culture partner for Shiji Mexico across the full employee lifecycle.
• Advise and coach managers on performance, development, and disciplinary actions.
• Lead employee relations investigations and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processes with external provider and stakeholders.
• Administer benefits and leave programs for Mexico employees.
• Develop, implement, and maintain P&C policies and communications.
• Maintain knowledge of Mexican labor laws and ensure compliance.
• Maintain confidential HR records and HRIS data.
• Partner with leaders and global teams on regional initiatives.
