Job summary

Compassion International in México City seeks a Senior People and Culture Strategic Partner to design and lead global HR initiatives aligned with our mission.

This role partners with executives to drive talent management, performance, compensation, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance with Mexican labor laws and international standards. The successful candidate will coach leaders across regions and help build a Known, Loved and Connected workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources, HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar strategic HR role.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of Mexican labor legislation and HR compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in change management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
• Experience in coaching and developing talent, supporting growth of staff and leadership.
• Strong emotional intelligence.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children and commits to child protection in all decisions and activities.
• Influences executives and leaders to accomplish strategic initiatives through workforce engagement.
• Leverages talent management tools to develop leaders and staff.
• Collaborates with People and Culture COEs in compensation, benefits, org design, and more.
• Educates and coaches employees on relations, performance, and change management.
• Ensures compliance with local, national, and international employment laws and provides recommendations for practice changes.
• Investigates and designs resolutions regarding performance, harassment, discrimination, or misconduct.
• Analyzes engagement using HR metrics and implements timely programs and interventions.
• Develops programs for annual merit, performance management, benefits enrollment, and onboarding.
• Coaches and may oversee other HR professionals and staff in the Human Resources discipline.
