Honeywell is seeking a Director, Communications, reporting to the Vice President, Internal Communications, Executive Events and Corporate Social Responsibility, based in Mexico City.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced, poised, and savvy Communications professional who wants to join an innovation leader and help shape the future.

This leader will deliver internal and external communications counsel and support for a Honeywell senior executive who reports directly to the Chairman and CEO and leads our Innovation and Technology organization.

This work involves strategic planning in support of key functional initiatives and business priorities; developing and delivering robust, sound communications plans and messages; and preparing the executive for key presentations and speaking opportunities, including planning, and developing town hall meetings and external speaking engagements.

The person in this role will develop and execute global internal communication strategies resulting in campaigns that drive employee engagement and forge stronger alignment with the company's direction.

Storytelling experience and prowess is a must as this individual will help guide efforts to consistently develop creative, compelling, and human-focused content that connects Honeywell employees with each other, leaders, and the company's strategic initiatives.

Fluency in and passion for analytics is also imperative as we seek to measure and interpret data that help us enhance our communication practices across the company.

Finally, the individual in this role must be willing to roll up sleeves and help plan and promote signature internal events, including CEO-level initiatives, functional town hall meetings, the annual Honeywell Senior Leadership Meeting, and a quarterly all-employee Global Town Meeting.

This person must also lead communications support for the annual Technology Symposium.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead communications strategy, counsel, and delivery for assigned senior leaders to strengthen employee engagement and Honeywell's positioning as a leading technology company.
  • Support major initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes, and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
  • Support cross-company measurement of communications effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Raise the bar on the quality of communications by guiding content strategies that result in elegantly simple, visually compelling, and easily understandable communications.
  • Oversee and contribute to editorial planning / development in support of Honeywell's drive for innovation.
  • Lead communications support for the annual Technology Symposium.
  • Support the execution of the annual Senior Leadership Meeting, quarterly Global Town Meetings, and functional town halls.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • English fluency at 100% or native speaker.
  • Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated successful experience in external and internal communications in a corporate or an agency environment.
