Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) to support a U.S.-based pulmonary practice. This remote, part-time role (30 hours/week) offers $7/hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule aligned with U.S. Central Time.

You will manage bilingual patient communications, EMR workflows, referrals, and insurance-related tasks while collaborating with on-site staff and other VMAs to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant supporting U.S.-based healthcare practices.
• Hands-on experience with patient calls, appointment scheduling, EMR documentation, and clinical administrative workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional phone etiquette, and empathetic patient communication.
• Active HIPAA certification or willingness to obtain before first working day.
• Ability to work independently in a remote healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Handle bilingual patient communication and phone support in English and Spanish.
• Monitor EMR messages, staff queues, and administrative workflows; coordinate referrals and scheduling.
• Collaborate with VMAs and clinic staff to ensure coverage, follow-ups, and SOP improvements.
