An international non-governmental organization in Puebla seeks an Advocacy Coordinator for a refugee leadership project. The role involves coordinating advocacy and influencing components, leading engagement events, and supporting government departments. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5–7 years of advocacy experience, and strong communication skills in English. Formación

  • At least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.

Role
  • Advocacy Coordinator – refugee leadership project, coordinating influencing and advocacy components with national-level stakeholders.
  • Lead engagement for the project, including advocacy-related events and workshops.
  • Coordinate participation of RLOs, RLGs, and LNGOs in national, regional, and global level events.
  • Support and coordinate among concerned federal government departments.
  • Strengthen advocacy capacities of RLOs and RLGs.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (BA) Degree in Journalism, Government, Sociology, International Relations or related field.
  • 5‑7 years of relevant policy, advocacy or campaigning experience, preferably in an international NGO.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Expertise in media and communications for advocacy and influence programmes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Deep commitment to Oxfam’s values and principles.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian leadership and NGO roles.
  • Ability to provide specialist advice and training, simplify complex issues, and promote diversity.
  • Willingness to travel, including to medium/high‑risk areas.
