Job summary
Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to join the fully remote team. You will learn to administer, test and report on 401(k) plans, progressing from document review to routine plan administration through practical training and hands-on experience.
You will review client documents, advise on progress, and handle year-end reporting to ensure compliance with IRS forms and government filings.
Qualifications
- Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
- 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations in one or more areas listed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
- Use filing software to prepare 401(k) government filings (e.g., IRS Form 5500).
- Educate clients on retirement plan administration and documents.
