Job summary

Guidant Financial offers a fully remote role where you will learn the end-to-end process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans. You’ll review client documents, provide progress updates, and support year-end filings including the 5500 form.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
• 1–5 years in adjacent back-office financial operations (benefits administration, money movement, insurance claims, tax prep, loans, compliance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k)/IRA administration, 5500 reporting) preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily responsibility preferred.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, IRS/DOL regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting using filing software.
• Prepare filings including IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration.
