Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to work remotely and support the administrative lifecycle of 401(k) plans. You will review documents, liaise with clients, and ensure timely year‑end reporting and 5500 filings while building expertise through extensive training.

You will use Excel, Word, and Outlook daily, perform reconciliations, and help clients understand plan documents and compliance requirements in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with document review and transaction processing.
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily responsibility.
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure and IRS/DOL regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Prepare 401(k) filings, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration.
