Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring for a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist in a fully remote role. You will learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans, with accelerated training and practical experience guiding you from document review to basic plan administration.

You will review client documents, keep clients updated, and help with year-end filings and 5500 forms, while building expertise in retirement-plan operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in back-office ops.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k)/IRA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual reporting with clients and collect required data.
• Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans and handle rollovers using Excel and admin software.
• Use administration software to perform 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make reminder calls and send emails during plan-year reporting.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 and year-end government filings.
• Educate clients on retirement plans and plan documents.
