Guidant Financial, a fully remote company, is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn end-to-end 401(k) plan administration. You will review documents, assist with year-end reporting, and communicate progress to clients via calls and emails.

Qualifications

• Experience in document review and transaction processing as part of daily work
• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) and year-end reporting preferred
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily responsibility preferred
• Associate's or bachelor's in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information and prepare annual reporting
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting with software
• Make reminder calls and send emails during plan year reporting
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 and other government filings
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration
