Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans—from document review to year-end filings. You will gain hands-on experience using Excel and reporting software while supporting clients remotely across the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing.
• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience in benefits administration, money movement and wires, insurance claims processing, tax prep processing, loan or mortgage document processing, or compliance or quality-control support.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and 401(k) plan documents.
