A leading inspection services provider in Italy is seeking an experienced UT/UTCD Data Analyst [Level 3] to join their growing team. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing in-line inspection data to identify pipeline anomalies and ensuring comprehensive reporting for clients. With a focus on detail, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in relevant software, this role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field and a relevant engineering degree. The position demands a commitment to quality and attention to detail.

Overview

PIPECARE Europe is currently looking for UT/UTCD Data Analyst [Level 3].

By providing technology and service focused solutions to the international arena of the oil and gas industry, the PipeCare Group of companies has been helping our customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years. The PipeCare Group is seeking an experienced UT/UTCD Data Analyst [Level 3] to support continued growth. The selected candidate will work with project execution teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of in-line inspection results with focus on custom-tailored reporting solutions to satisfy customers’ needs. This includes reviewing customer requirement specifications, processing in-line inspection data, analyzing and identifying pipeline features and anomalies, applying industry-accepted anomaly assessment criteria, ensuring quality and accuracy of final results, and compiling results in concise, comprehensive reports for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Checking and approving tool performance during PTT
  • Checking the data quality of ILI runs
  • UTWM Data Analysis
  • UTCD Data Analysis
  • EMAT Data Analysis
  • Checking and implementing dig verification tasks at sites and preparing relevant reports
  • Reviewing software interfaces and user manuals
  • Preparing/Reviewing DAD quality documentation
  • Ensuring accurate tool sensitivity values are provided to TM in Tool Checklist
  • Preparing a specific Run assessment report
  • Identifying obstructions in the pipeline and producing technically valid Preliminary / Final reports (as applicable)
  • Informing HO-DAD about results and integrating results into reports
  • Ensuring coordinates are synchronized with data
  • Alerting R&D to software problems
  • Updating documentation and standard quality procedures
  • Alerting DA Team Leader/DA Manager about software problems
  • Executing other tasks as requested by DA Team Leader/DA Manager and/or Executive Team within the assigned role
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4-year technical or engineering degree from an accredited university (experience in analysis of in-line inspection data may be considered in lieu of education on a case-by-case basis)
  • Prior certification as ILI PQ LIII Data Analyst in UTWM, UTCD, EMAT, or ability to become certified
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in analysis of in-line inspection data
  • Ability to learn proprietary software platforms; proficiency in Microsoft-based applications
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Professional, detail-oriented focus and high quality work
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all organizational levels and prepare presentations for management and customers
Job requirements
  • Ability to work for extended periods in a stationary position at computers
  • Ability to pass vision acuity and color differentiation examinations
  • Business travel may be required for internal training, internal meetings, site visits, and customer meetings (international travel may be required)
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on business and project needs
  • Ability to work independently or within a team to ensure project success
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Mobility to walk and climb in refinery or plant environments and access elevated platforms
  • Clear speech and hearing sufficient to communicate effectively
  • Ability to focus and multitask
  • Willingness to wear safety equipment as required in manufacturing environments
  • Sufficient mobility and reflexes to perform office duties and travel as needed
