Application Process

• We respond via email within one week to arrange a first interview.
• First interview: an interview with Simona, People Care team manager, and with a person closest to your job position to assess your professional skills.
• Team touch base: a second interview with the Servant Leader and/or Product Owner of your candidate team to assess attitude and compatibility.
• Almost done: we discuss budgets and you have a final interview with our CFO.

Role: Junior‑Mid UI Designer (Rome/Milan)

Arkage is looking for a Junior‑Mid UI Designer (2–4 years of experience). You will design high‑fidelity interfaces for websites, apps, and digital products, support design systems, collaborate with UX designers and developers, use AI‑powered tools, manage design hand‑offs, brainstorm creative solutions, and iterate based on feedback.

Contract

This is a project‑based contract lasting 3 months, potentially extendable to 6 months. Candidates holding a P.IVA will be considered preferentially.

Who You Are

You are a proactive, curious Junior‑Mid UI Designer with a keen eye for detail and passion for clean, modern design. You have worked on digital projects and understand that a great interface must be both beautiful and intuitive. You have a mobile‑first mindset, solid understanding of responsive design, comfortable working in a team, open to feedback, and excited about AI transforming design.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Excellent mastery of Figma (components, auto‑layout, prototyping).
• Solid UI fundamentals: typography, color theory, grid systems, visual hierarchy.
• Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite: basic Photoshop and Illustrator for asset preparation.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or Figma AI plugins).
• Understanding of Web Accessibility (WCAG).
• Portfolio showing polished UI work, personal projects, or internship experiences.

Nice to Have

• P.IVA
• Advanced prototyping skills.
• Basic front‑end knowledge (HTML/CSS).
• Interest in AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT).
• Good knowledge of English (B2 or higher).
• Smart working 3 days per week or more.
