RINA is currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to join its office in ROME within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for cybersecurity and a proven track record in identifying and mitigating system vulnerabilities.

Key Accountabilities

1. Performing detailed Vulnerability Assessments to pinpoint and address system weaknesses, covering both IT and OT environments.
2. Crafting in-depth reports to document findings from vulnerability assessments.
3. Advising on best practices for application and infrastructure security enhancements.
4. Presenting identified vulnerabilities to clients, emphasizing the importance of security measures.
5. Analyzing network devices, workstations, servers, and infrastructures from a security perspective, recommending configurations for optimal security.
6. Developing system hardening guidelines to strengthen security postures.
7. Supporting clients in implementing the most effective remediation strategies in Linux/Windows AD contexts.
8. Assisting clients in addressing vulnerabilities and implementing the best corrective actions.
9. Utilizing top-tier cyber analysis tools (e.g., Tenable, Netskope, Splunk, SentinelOne, Fortinet, Cyberark) to support analysis efforts.

Education

Master's Degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security

Qualifications

• Providing consultancy on network-related topics, such as segmentation and NAC, to enhance overall security architecture.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows AD operating systems.
• Experience in vulnerability management and classification.
• Familiarity with leading cybersecurity tools (e.g., Tenable, Netskope, Splunk, SentinelOne, Fortinet, Cyberark).
• Ability to develop guidelines for system hardening.
• Competence in security analysis and configuration of network devices, workstations, and servers.
• Excellent communication skills to present vulnerabilities and advise clients on best security practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure, including cloud security.
