Job Description Stefanini Group is looking for a Sr. Datacenter Engineer (on-premises) to be part of our Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure (HCI) cluster within the Infrastructure Services Division. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced infrastructure specialist with deep expertise in datacenter operation, hardware lifecycle management, and critical environment systems. They demonstrate mastery in server, network and storage architecture; strong proficiency in virtualization and automation; and a disciplined approach to reliability, capacity planning and incident management.

This is a one‑year fixed‑term contract role, with the possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and infrastructure.
  • Monitors environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and power usage, to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of datacenter projects, including equipment upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
  • Rack and cable management and also basic knowledge of network protocols and cabling standards.
  • Team collaboration and cross‑functional communication.
  • Physical capability (lifting equipment, working in hot/cold aisles).
Job Requirements
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Extensive experience with datacenter infrastructure: servers, storage systems, networking equipment, racks, cabling, and power distribution.
  • Strong expertise in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) and container platforms.
  • Proficiency with monitoring, alerting, and management platforms for datacenter and environmental systems.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall concepts.
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware deployment, diagnostics, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to streamline operational tasks.
  • Knowledge of datacenter standards and best practices, including redundancy design, cooling, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
  • Experience supporting enterprise operating systems (Linux and Windows).
