The Contract Logistics Solution Design Engineer identifies and develops comprehensive solutions aligning with customer needs and business goals.

Responsibilities – Contract Logistics Solution Design Engineer

• Analyze the needs of the potential customer through the study of the tender documents or direct contact with the counterparty;
• Verify and guarantee compliance with technical and economic clauses and/or constraints, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with the best expected profitability in compliance with company policies;
• Discuss existing processes with figures belonging to the Operations area;
• Discuss with other company functions to confirm/request costs for services/tools necessary for the development of the offer;
• Develop the technical/commercial offer using specific Geodis tools;
• Summarize in a technical presentation the solution identified for each tender carried out.

We are looking for a System / Solutions Architect – HW Solutions to join our team in Madrid, Spain.

In this role, you will design, consult and deliver advanced hardware system solutions for Aerospace and Defense applications, including RADAR, satellite, and secure communications systems.

Key Activities – System / Solutions Architect – HW Solutions

• Design and develop complex hardware test solutions for R&D departments and customers.
• Collaborate with global R&D, engineering, and technical teams to create and deliver high-performance, integrated test systems.
• Engage directly with customers to define requirements, propose architectures, and ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in technical discussions, system validation, and project delivery.

Additional Responsibilities – CEVA (Contract Logistics)

• Understanding of solution design and related sales program development and implementation;
• Developing, reviewing and verifying overall and a variety of engineering, operational and related reports and metrics;
• Applying comprehensive and various solution design management principles and practices;
• Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution at a functional level;
• Reading, analysing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation;
• Project data analysis and process mapping (Value Stream Map);
• Giving technical support to the Business Development function, in identifying different solutions compliant with customer's needs and with company business rules;
• Interfacing with customers and coordinating with other corporate functions involved in the Solution Design process (real estate, security, Health & Safety, etc.), to explain the proposed solution and the value related to;
• Involving in different and international projects (Europe and Global).

Qualifications – System / Solutions Architect – HW Solutions

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following fields:

• Electronic Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Science

Technical Skills – System / Solutions Architect

• Solid understanding of the following technologies and applications :
• RADAR
• Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations
• Space and Satellite Communications
• Secure Communications
• Spectrum Monitoring and Signal Analysis
• Experience with RF test systems and technologies.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex test solutions.
• Proficiency in Matlab, C#, C++, Python.
• Familiarity with simulation tools and correlating simulation to measurement results.

Soft Skills – System / Solutions Architect

• Fluent in English and Spanish (both required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across hierarchies and cultures.
• Confident presenter to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (multi-day trips, several times per month).
• EU or UK passport required.

Nice to Have – System / Solutions Architect

• Minimum 5 years in a technical, customer-facing role.
• Experience in test and verification and/or design validation at a senior level.
• Background in Test & Measurement is an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Proven track record in Statement of Work (SoW) based consultancy projects.

Qualifications – CEVA (Contract Logistics)

• Master Degree in management engineering, with focus on logistics, supply chain, transport;
• Experience and strong knowledge of Contract Logistics Field;
• Data analysis skills and strong knowledge of data analysis techniques;
• Basic knowledge of CAD programs;
• Preferably, experienced in project management;
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English;
• Having good MS Office skills especially, Excel, and PowerPoint;
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and global environment;
• Hard-working, highly motivated and team player;
• Strong organizing, problem solving and analytical thinking skills;
• Confident, self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach.
