Duties and Responsibilities

As Senior Waiter/Waitress, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the outlet, including:

• Greeting guests courteously and attentively.
• Escorting guests to their tables, assisting with seating, and presenting menus.
• Handling outlet telephone inquiries courteously and efficiently according to departmental standards.
• Taking orders from food and beverage menus.
• Inspecting the condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists.
• Working with an empathetic attitude.
• Providing prompt and efficient service as per standards.
• Preparing mis-en-place for restaurant service before opening hours.
• Having good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and daily F&B activities.
• Knowing outlet opening hours.
• Understanding menu prices and suggesting upselling when appropriate.
• Keeping all departmental equipment clean and in good working order.
• Upholding Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation, maintaining and exceeding performance benchmarks.
• Adhering strictly to LQA standards and guest feedback.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Senior Waiter/Waitress, I should possess the necessary qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, including:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years of restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree is preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required locally.
• Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Legal eligibility to work in Italy.
