Overview

We are looking to hire a Railway Electrical Engineer to join our Rail team in Madrid, Bilbao or Barcelona.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership in the design of airfields for large‑scale international airport projects.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project development and collaborate with national and international teams.
  • Analyze electrical risks, grounding systems and stray currents, and prepare technical reports and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
  • Preferred degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in railway environments (high speed, metro, tram, etc.).
  • Experience in railway electrification projects in both DC and AC, including design, review, and validation of grounding and equipotentiality schemes.
  • In‑depth knowledge of stray currents and their mitigation.
  • Proficiency in key European railway regulations (EN 50122, EN 50121, EN 50119) and familiarity with IEC/EN standards.
  • Ability to analyze electrical risks, prepare technical reports, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Fluency in English (minimum B2/C1). Other languages valued.
  • Team player, autonomous, flexible, technically rigorous, and internationally minded.
  • Eager to learn in an international company like IDOM.
