Competenze

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Project Engineer. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will work in Monza Brianza, Viale delle Rimembranze, Nova Milanese, Italy.

About the position

As a resource in the Engineering Department, you will ensure the correct design of the assigned items, supporting its development within the design team, in accordance with the contractual terms agreed with the customer and the technical regulations, in a specific geographic area or a group of customers.

Your main responsibilities

• To ensure the correct design of the assigned items
• Draw and coordinate the design phase of the marine air conditioning system, making improvements to existing products using the available modeling software
• Evaluate the best technical solution to offer to the customer taking into account the mechanical and electrical feasibility and efficiency requirements, improving the sales process
• Support other members of the design team, comparing the accuracy of the model, applying regulatory and corporate standards, ensuring that activities are executed within the deadlines
• Periodically visit the shipyards to check the air conditioning systems under construction on board
• Share feedback and ideas with other business departments and customers for any issues and suggestions (related to the project documentation, product features and performance, alternative solutions, new technologies, etc)
• The post‑holder may be asked to take on different tasks as required and all employees are expected to work collaboratively to support the overall goals of Dometic

A suitable background would be a

Solid experience within Project Engineering, Marine or Mechanical Engineering – as well as the following qualifications and experiences.

• Excellent knowledge of materials and the use of internal calculating sheets
• Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and, the ability to learn other applications quickly
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality System
• Good knowledge of product design (AutoCAD 2D)
• H&S general knowledge
• Pressure tests: good level
• Good fluency in English

To be successful in this role

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience on the role (at least 5 years, within the companies of air conditioning machine or similar) or equivalent culture
• Experience in Marine or Mechanical Engineering
