Job Description

You will act as the go-to expert, providing world-class technical support to global customers and Field Application Engineers, both remotely and on-site, to ensure the successful implementation of Infineon’s 32-bit microcontroller solutions. You will enable customer applications by tackling technical challenges hands-on, supporting design-in activities, and delivering training in your area of expertise.

In your new role you will:

  • Become a member of a highly specialized application engineering team, enabling customers to use Infineon’s automotive microcontrollers.
  • Be the go-to-person for providing best-in-class support to your worldwide customers and Infineon’s Field Application Engineers, answering technical requests, analyzing, and repeating findings both on-site and in the lab
  • Be responsible for the fast enablement of our customers’ applications using Infineon’s microcontroller products, both remotely and on-site
  • Support design-in at our customers with detailed product expertise of Infineon’s 32bit microcontrollers
  • Strive to constantly and consistently exceed our customers’ expectations by providing technical support from product to system-level
  • Train field application engineers or customers in the area of your technical expertise
  • Compile technical concepts and application documentation
  • Collaborate and share your knowledge with R&D
Your Profile

As a proactive and enthusiastic team player, you'll leverage your strong communication skills to actively listen to customers, balance their needs with Infineon's interests, and drive solutions that exceed their expectations. With a flexible and adaptable mindset, you'll stay focused on continuous improvement, tackling complex problems with ease and enthusiasm, while being prepared to respond quickly to changing circumstances or travel at short notice. By being personally committed to customer success, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Software Engineering, or a similar field of study
  • At least 5 year or more years of relevant experience in automotive projects
  • A deep knowledge in embedded software development in C/C++, ideally on both, application and low-level side, with profiling and solid debugging skills
  • Previous experience with AURIX and/or ARM devices in the automotive domain
  • Knowledge about (automotive) communication protocols, (real-time) operating systems
  • A clear track record of actively driving complex problems to a solution
  • Strong communication skills to interact with worldwide customers and Infineon’s Field Application Engineers
  • Availability to travel from time to time
  • Fluency in English
