Role

As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a critical role in monitoring the performance of our wholesale lending portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring high standards of credit risk management. This role directly contributes to Multitude Bank’s strategic goals by ensuring portfolio health, uncovering cross-sell opportunities, and driving operational efficiencies through automation.

Your focus
  • Oversee portfolio management activities including tracking collateral data, collecting company financials, and maintaining related reports.
  • Monitor financial covenants and conduct regular trend analysis to assess portfolio performance and flag early warnings.
  • Lead initiatives to automate portfolio monitoring and reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive client performance reports to support sales initiatives and identify credit risks.
  • Conduct profitability analysis on clients and consolidate results for strategic portfolio review.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and communicate these insights to Investment Managers.
  • Perform detailed macroeconomic and industry trend analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in portfolio management or credit risk within financial services.
  • Proven ability managing institutional loan portfolios (€5M-€30M ticket size).
  • Strong expertise in covenant monitoring, financial statement analysis, and cash flow evaluation.
  • Experience in preparing performance reports and identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Advanced analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in banking and risk management.
Nice-to-have
  • Master’s degree or certifications (CFA, FRM).
  • Experience working in remote, cross-border financial institutions.
