Plant Manager

Main responsibilities

This role represents a key position within the Group’s industrial organization, with full accountability for the economic, operational, and organizational performance of a strategically important manufacturing site. Reporting directly to Top Management, the Plant Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for the production site, leading a complex and multidisciplinary organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement the plant’s industrial strategy, in line with the Group’s global vision and HQ guidelines
  • Ensure the achievement of targets in terms of safety, quality, service, and costs
  • Guarantee a safe working environment, ensuring full compliance with HSE regulations and environmental protection standards
  • Lead Operational Excellence, Lean Transformation, and Continuous Improvement programs, fostering a strong continuous improvement culture
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance of the site and represent the company locally with authorities, institutions, and relevant associations
  • Manage and develop people engagement and efficiency, ensuring adequate skills, behaviors aligned with company values, and achievement of objectives
  • Build and strengthen a solid leadership pipeline, with a strong focus on performance, engagement, and succession planning
  • Manage industrial relations and dialogue with local trade unions
  • Improve customer experience, engaging teams in continuous improvement initiatives, accelerating issue resolution, and reducing non-quality costs
  • Improve factory service levels through the adoption of appropriate processes, tools, and best practices
  • Ensure manufacturing cost and cash competitiveness, activating cost-reduction initiatives and savings programs
  • Contribute directly to the achievement of the Group’s ESG and industrial sustainability objectives
Candidate profile

The role requires a mature, authoritative, and inclusive leader, capable of:

  • Operating effectively in complex and structured environments and managing change with vision and disciplined execution
  • Acting as a reference point for both the management team and the wider organization

In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale industrial plants, gained in complex and highly unionized environments
  • Experience working with international stakeholders and leading large organizations toward sustainable long-term results
  • Experience in manufacturing high-complexity products, where safety and quality are critical success factors
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Willingness to relocate whith in Italy and/or abroad
