Overview

We are looking for a Marketing & Communication Manager for the exclusive 5-star luxury Grand Hotel Convento in Amalfi.

Marketing & Communication Manager | Grand Hotel Convento Amalfi

The Marketing & Communication Manager reports to the Director of Sales & MKTG and to the GM of the hotel, and will be responsible for all PR, Communications and MKTG activities, in coordination with the Area Director of PR & Social Media Brand Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Public Relations – prepare and carry out the communication plan in coordination with the Area Director of PR and Social Media.
  • Prepare and/or supervise written press releases sent on behalf of the Hotel in accordance with the established plan and with prior approval of the Area PR Director.
  • Create, maintain, and manage a diverse media database (local, national, international) across corporate, lifestyle, travel, gastronomy, wellness, beauty, fashion, etc.
  • Evaluate proposals for press visits with the Area Director and attend to ensure the best experience and impact, monitoring that agreements with media are respected.
  • Respond to advertising opportunities, evaluating potential for the Hotel with the Director of PR and DOSM.
  • Encourage visits by media teams and members through available channels.
  • Draft all official texts for the Hotel (commercial brochures, internal/external templates, web pages, etc.) following established hotel standards.
  • Promote hotel offers with the PR director alongside partners such as LHW, Traveller Made, Kiwi Collection, Virtuoso, AMEX, etc. (subject to change by property).
  • Marketing – execute the marketing plan in coordination with the Area Director of PR & Social Media and the DOSM / EAM.
  • Ensure the Hotel’s image across all areas and the guest journey aligns with established standards and the Anantara brand philosophy.
  • Manage the Hotel’s official website and its performance in all areas in liaison with the Brand Manager.
  • Identify improvement opportunities with the Director of Guest Relations to enhance the customer experience.
  • Audit TripAdvisor tools (Plus) to maximize visibility and keep information updated for guests.
  • Maintain and update photography/content on OTAs with which the Hotel works.
  • Boost internal communication through a client-focused periodical (newspaper).
  • Manage the Hotel’s profile on the LHW website to keep information, texts, content and photography up to date.
  • Community Manager – oversee all social media channels, preparing a periodic posting calendar and providing engaging visual and written content that complies with standards.
  • Manage content on social networks according to their characteristics; update strategy based on market trends and competition.
  • Encourage interaction with followers and foster a community spirit.
  • Respond to comments within 24 hours, adapting language and format to each channel.
  • Encourage employee participation in brand social networks.
  • Prepare monthly reports on follower growth and post performance to identify trends and popular topics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of major lifestyle and luxury brands and understand the influence of different media on brand image.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Multitasking, accountability, problem solving, innovation and creativity, with excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships; strong knowledge of Office automation, digital tools, and social network management.
  • Residence/domicile in Amalfi or nearby is considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in English required for CV submission; other languages are a plus.
