Overview

RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Process Improvement Engineer to join its office in Genova within the Sustainability and Business Innovation Division.

Mission: We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to support our clients in analysing, optimising, and redesigning business and engineering processes. This role plays a key part in enhancing operational performance, ensuring compliance, and fostering cross-functional efficiency within complex organisations. The ideal candidate has a structured mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analyse existing business and technical processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Design optimised workflows and support their implementation across organisational functions
  • Review and update technical and operational procedures to improve clarity, traceability, and alignment with standards
  • Assist in the qualification, segmentation, and performance monitoring of suppliers
  • Support the execution of second-party audits to assess compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training sessions to build process awareness and ownership across teams
Education

Master’s Degree in Management Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Experience in process mapping and workflow optimisation within industrial or service environments
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and ability to interpret operational metrics
  • Strong technical writing skills for the development of procedures and documentation
  • Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders
  • Problem-solving attitude with strong communication and organisational skills
