A leading humanitarian organization is seeking an Investigations Consultant to conduct independent investigations into misconduct. The role requires a university degree in law or relevant field, along with at least 5 years of professional experience in investigations. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dedicated environment addressing global challenges, with a contract spanning from December 2025 to November 2026. Applicants will work remotely from PPR.

From December 2025 to November 2026
The Consultant will report to the Director Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI) and/or his delegate as appointed by the Director of OIGI. The consultant will specifically deliver their work either individually or within a multidisciplinary team.
The ultimate goal and mission of the OIGI is to conduct independent investigations into allegations of misconduct involving WFP staff, contractors and other applicable persons.
Investigation Reports and other investigative products as per OIGI standard practice.
A university degree in Investigations, Law, Audit, Accounting or a relevant discipline.
Training from a police academy or another law enforcement agency with extensive experience in investigations can be considered in lieu of a university degree.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible postgraduate professional experience related to investigations, intelligence gathering or other relevant experience.
Previous experience working with the United Nations system or other international organizations is desirable.
Written and oral proficiency in English is a must for this position.
Knowledge of another UN official language (French, Arabic, Spanish, Russian or Chinese) or Portuguese is an advantage.
