A leading private equity investor is seeking a Group Chief Financial Officer based in Rome, Italy, tasked with overseeing financial strategies for a decentralised portfolio company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare services, post-merger integration, and exit strategies, ideally leading a private equity exit. Fluency in both Italian and English is essential. This permanent role is set to start in Q1 2026.

Privatal is currently working with a Pan-European private equity investor in their confidential search for a new group CFO for their decentralised portfolio company.

The Ideal CFO Profile

• Demonstrated experience in business models related to healthcare services, retail, and/or other decentralised organisation models.
• Demonstrated experience in Post-Merger Integrations, Consolidation and Synergy realisation as part of a buy-and-build strategy.
• Demonstrated experience in exit readiness, ideally leading a private equity exit.
• Demonstrated experience in dealing with banks for covenant reporting in an LBO scenario.
• Demonstrated experience and focus on successful management of cash, NWC, and other liquidity topics to increase the cash position.

Fluency in Italian and English is seen as a must.
