Report to JPT construction manager the FMWR Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the fabrication, assembly, modification and commissioning of fast‑moving work‑over rigs. This role ensures the rigs are built or refurbished to meet project timelines, technical specifications, safety standards and operational readiness for well servicing and intervention activities. Tasks detailed as follows.
Project & Construction Oversight
- Supervise all stages of FMWR construction or refurbishment including structural, mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Ensure construction follows approved drawings, technical specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, rig builders, welders, electricians and service providers on site.
Quality & Technical Compliance
- Ensure construction activities comply with relevant industry codes (e.g. API 4F, 7K, 8C), company specifications and project QA / QC plans.
- Participate in inspections FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and pre‑commissioning activities.
- Ensure all rig equipment such as mast, substructure, drawworks, BOP systems and power packages are properly installed, aligned and tested.
Construction Scheduling & Reporting
- Monitor work schedules, productivity and manpower allocation to meet construction milestones.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly construction progress reports.
- Interface with procurement, logistics, engineering and quality teams to resolve bottlenecks and avoid delays.
HSE Management
- Enforce strict implementation of HSE procedures and site safety plans during construction.
- Conduct safety walk‑downs, toolbox talks and participate in incident investigations.
- Ensure all lifting, welding, electrical and commissioning activities are performed safely and with proper permits.
Rig Move & Commissioning Support
- Support rig move and mobilization activities from the yard to the field.
- Coordinate rig‑up and commissioning of systems at the well site to ensure the rig is fully operational.
- Handover completed rigs to Drilling or Workover Operations after inspection and readiness certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of FMWR design, construction and field deployment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and rig layout schematics.
- Excellent leadership and coordination skills across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Working knowledge of construction standards, inspection procedures and project controls.
- Strong focus on safety, quality and timely delivery.
Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited university.
- Work experience of 8 years in the sought discipline after earning the university degree.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years hands‑on experience in offshore projects.
- Excellent spoken and written English including proven ability to write reports.
