About Vicor:

Vicor Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets modular power components and complete power systems used in aerospace, defense electronics, enterprise computing, industrial equipment, telecommunications, vehicles, and transportation markets. Vicor is expanding into the Automotive Industry, focusing on high voltage architectures (up to 48V) and systems (48V to 12V) for electrification, hybrid, EV/HEV, and autonomous vehicles.

Position:

The main responsibility of the FAE (Field Application Engineer) is to support Vicor power solutions in various market opportunities, including High Performance Computing. Responsibilities include coordinating with Business Development Managers, Account Managers, providing technical support pre- and post-sales, product selection, system troubleshooting, and establishing customer relationships.

• Articulate technology, power architectures, and product positioning to both business and technical audiences.
• Develop business relationships directly with customers and through channel partners.
• Capture technical requirements and act as liaison to Product Line Engineers.
• Maintain relationships throughout the sales cycle with customer engineering teams.
• Review schematics and support existing customer programs.
• Handle technical inquiries via phone and email.
• Travel 30-50% for customer visits.
• Conduct technical seminars, conferences, and product training.
• Assist with product evaluations in the local lab.
• Support channel demand creation by qualifying opportunities and increasing design win conversion.
• Visit channel customers and distribution branch offices for technical support and training.

Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes:
