A market-leading global manufacturer of specialised laboratory equipment and technical service solutions is seeking an experienced Equipment Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across Italy. This is a senior field‑based role suited to an ambitious sales professional who excels in complex solution selling, project coordination and building strong customer relationships across scientific and technical environments.

The Position

As Equipment Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility for developing and executing the regional sales strategy, ensuring strong pipeline development and closing high‑value equipment projects. You will work closely with regional leadership, Account Managers and technical specialists to coordinate tender participation, manage installation planning and maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle of each project.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Develop, communicate and implement a growth strategy aligned with market opportunities across Italy.
  • Drive equipment and technical service sales from lead generation through to closing and implementation.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to build, manage and convert a strong sales pipeline.
  • Participate in public tenders and coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Execute targeted marketing and commercial initiatives to increase equipment and service contract sales.
  • Conduct facility assessments, understand customer requirements and coordinate project delivery with technical teams.
  • Build strong long‑term customer relationships, ensuring excellent service, training and support.
  • Gather, structure and share market intelligence to guide commercial decision‑making.
  • Partner closely with service support teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Contribute to forecasting, reporting and business planning cycles.
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, quality standards and applicable regulations.
Requirements :
  • 5+ years of experience in international equipment and technical service sales, ideally within scientific, laboratory, diagnostics, or technology‑driven environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Ability to understand technical solutions quickly and communicate value effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritise based on commercial impact.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building and project coordination capabilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Degree in a Scientific, Engineering or Business discipline preferred.
