E&I Field Engineer for Item Trace coordination and documentation management FDL/RMLU
Responsibilities
- Populates and maintains the construction database (ItemTrace);
- Implements any engineering changes by updating project documents via Red Line Mark Up (RLMU) during construction, MC, pre-comm, and commissioning phases; Approves, prepares, and coordinates the Site Red Line Mark Ups (RLMU) generated during these phases;
- Provides technical support to Construction Supervisors in the technical analysis of project documents and in resolving technical issues that arise during construction, MC, pre-comm, and commissioning phases;
- If necessary, prepares installation drawings, shop drawings of supports, and related layouts for positioning;
- Ensures continuous reporting to the Operations Manager on the progress of activities and reports any project critical issues that could impact the Department’s activities and planning;
- Collaborates with the Project Engineering Department to implement and enforce quality and detail requirements of relevant documents for Construction and its services, taking into account regulations, specifications, installation requirements, and construction standards;
- Verifies the accuracy and appropriateness of detailed and construction engineering;
- Verifies the constructability of the 3D model with regard to the Engineering and Construction discipline;
- Defines the support for items and cable routes and, if necessary, prepares installation typicals, shop drawings, and layouts for positioning;
- Ensures the completeness and technical and quantitative appropriateness of the MTOs, including the preliminary MTOs for the materials to be purchased by the Construction Engineering and Construction Department, and ensures that these are issued in time for the project;
- Supports the project E&I PSL in reviewing E&I Supplier documentation regarding installation and interface aspects;
- Collaborates in managing the interface between Engineering and Construction for technical issues that arise during the various phases of the project;
- Coordinates the population and maintenance of the construction database (ItemTrace);
- Actively collaborates with the Operations Manager, proposing corrective actions and defining solutions, methods, and strategies that enable the implementation of lessons learned gathered during projects and the optimization of processes;
