The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. As a Delivery Consultant, you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current applications, propose effective migration strategies to AWS, provide guidance on industry trends and emerging technologies, and lead the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

About the team

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide assistance through a collection of offerings that help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, covering a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider such as Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud-based solutioning (AWS or equivalent), with AI and automation.
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Professional level certification, or an associate’s degree or above.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python).
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience delivering large‑scale software development and modernization initiatives, with deep expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Microservices) and Generative AI tools/technologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment/release management processes.

Salary and Benefits

Colorado $131,300 – $177,600 annually

National $118,200 – $204,300 annually

The base salary range for this position is listed above. For salaried roles, your Amazon package will include listed sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance, supplemental life plans, EAP, mental health support, medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
