The Data Manager Assistant will work directly under the Data Manager Director/Senior, supporting in quality control and the processing of final data.

Main Activities And Responsibilities

Preparation of quality control tools for the final data in accordance with the Project Manager, who provides preliminary information such as timing, any requests made by the client, and the type of final file. The Data Manager Assistant will support in:

• Creating the project filter syntax, aimed at ensuring the correctness of the questionnaire programming;
• Creating the project Datamap syntax;
• Checking the initial interviews;
• Creating the syntax for report preparation, tabulations, and analysis plans;
• Supporting the fieldwork execution.
  
  

Additionally, The Data Manager Assistant Will

• Check the quality of the data and thus the interviews that may constitute either the final file or an interim, if requested by the client.
• Execute the filter syntax to identify any errors that may arise during the completion of the questionnaire;
• Check the correct achievement of quotas, if specified for the project;
• Build tabulations that allow for the identification of any anomalous values;
• Check for inconsistencies between the variables in the dataset;
• Execute the Datamap syntax for the final cleaning of the dataset.
  
  

Requirements and Skills– In-depth knowledge of the main functions of Excel.

– Knowledge of the Office suite.

– Knowledge of SPSS functions.

– Understanding of descriptive statistics methodologies and tools, such as measures of central tendency, variability, correlation, and weighting.

– Comprehension of written English.

– Ability to construct and interpret simple and cross-tabulations that can provide specific information.

– Analytical skills and critical observation of data.

– Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.

– Willingness to listen, stay updated, and engage in self-learning.

– Ability to work in a team while respecting the timing and requests of colleagues and clients.

– Knowledge of one or more programming languages is appreciated.
