We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Data Center & Smart Hands Engineer to support daily operations within our data center facilities. This is a Dispatch on Demand (Ticket-Based) role, requiring availability to respond to service tickets as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware, servers, and network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform racking and stacking of servers and networking equipment.
  • Handle installation, removal, and replacement of server and network components (e.g., HDDs, memory, NICs, PSUs).
  • Provide Smart Hands support, including power cycling, visual inspection, patching cables, and assisting remote teams.
  • Support data center network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and cabling.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of equipment and work performed.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with data center standards, security protocols, and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a data center or IT infrastructure environment.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware, networking components, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands‑on experience with cabling, power management, and hardware maintenance.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and communicate clearly with remote teams.
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, switches, routers) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to work in shifts or provide on‑call support if required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or similar).
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of data center best practices and safety standards.
