Overview
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Operations team to maintain and upkeep data center infrastructure.
  • Install, remove, and repair server racks, IT hardware, and network components; respond to emergent situations affecting operations.
  • Resolve hardware and technical issues, serving as the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting.
  • Perform on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities, monitoring data center infrastructure.
  • Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and goal attainment, contributing to process improvement initiatives relevant to the data center environment.
  • Assist in training less experienced team members and apply safety and security policies and procedures.
A Day in the Life

Support data center infrastructure equipment (e.g., racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, cables) in a ticket‑based environment, performing systematic problem resolution and routine hardware operation activities. Work rotating shifts (10 hours with a one‑hour break) on a 4‑day work and 3‑day off schedule, with shift hours of 8 : 00–18 : 00, 12 : 00–22 : 00, or 22 : 45–08 : 15.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Work 40 hours / week; overtime as required
  • Work 10 hour shifts as needed
  • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with a manager
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
