A prestigious hotel chain in Capri is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Lead to oversee all hotel equipment and systems. You will manage maintenance inquiries, ensure compliance with safety standards, and coordinate with external contractors. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hotel maintenance experience, technical knowledge, and is fluent in Italian. Functions

• Lead and actively participate in the service maintenance and repairs of all hotel equipment and systems including :
• Electrical systems : wiring lighting power distribution and emergency power.
• Plumbing : fixtures piping water heaters and drainage.
• Gas systems : appliances and lines.
• Fire & Life Safety systems : alarms sprinklers emergency lighting and egress routes.
• HVAC : heating ventilation and air conditioning units including preventative maintenance.
• Refrigeration : walk-in coolers freezers and other refrigeration equipment.
• Steam systems : boilers and steam lines.
• Audio-Visual (AV) systems : sound projection and conferencing equipment.
• Landscaping : irrigation outdoor lighting and general grounds maintenance.
• Interior maintenance : drywall flooring and general repairs.
• Paint and Decorating : ensuring high standards of finish and appearance throughout the property.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to all maintenance inquiries and problems providing courteous and professional service to achieve maximum guest and team satisfaction.
• Ensure strict compliance with all local national and safety standards laws rules and regulations across all maintenance operations.
• Develop implement and oversee a comprehensive repair and preventative maintenance program for all building systems equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections of all hotel areas to identify maintenance needs and proactively address potential issues.
• Coordinate all activities with external contractors and vendors related to construction renovation or major maintenance projects. Serve as the primary liaison between the hotel management team and construction companies ensuring effective communication timely project updates and smooth execution of work with minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Train and mentor the engineering team fostering a culture of excellence safety and continuous improvement.
• Manage inventory of parts supplies and tools ensuring efficient use of resources and cost control.
• Able to maintain a daily logbook of work done during the shift.
• Able to maintain and update a register and log file of main certificates maintenance schedules tests reports etc.
• Assist team with energy conservation and sustainable programs in the Hotel.
• Perform any other job assigned by the management as and when required.

Qualifications

• Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance
• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications.
• Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipments and maintenance management software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments vendors and contractors.

Education & Experiences

• From three to five years of experience in the related positions or similar hotel environment would be a plus
• University Degree or school background in technical field (electrical mechanical etc) is desirable
• Fluency in Italian and a good command of English are required
