The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, and results-driven Area Sales Manager to spearhead the growth and adoption of Seed‑X's cutting‑edge AI technology within the vital Italian vegetable seed markets.

This is a hunter role for a hands‑on, commercially astute individual who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment. You will be the face of Seed‑X in your assigned territory, responsible for driving sales of our advanced seed analysis and sorting solutions to leading seed companies, breeders, and producers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for Seed‑X's AI‑powered solutions in the assigned country (France or Italy).
  • Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with major seed companies and vegetable breeders.
  • Technical Sales & Product Champion: Become an expert on the AI‑powered sorting platforms. Articulate complex technical and value propositions clearly to both commercial and technical stakeholders (R&D, Production, and Quality Control).
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting, and trusting relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers in the target market.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct deep market analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscapes, emerging trends in vegetable seed and AgTech in your area.
  • Reporting & CRM: Utilize CRM software (e.g. HubSpot) rigorously to manage the entire sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and report on all sales activities and territory performance to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D and Marketing teams to provide on‑the‑ground customer feedback for continuous product and service improvement.

  • Tech Savvy: Strong understanding of new technologies, AI/data, and the ability to sell a technical, data‑driven product rather than a commodity.
  • CRM Proficiency: Knowledge and daily use of a major CRM platform (e.g., HubSpot) for pipeline management and forecasting.
Professional Experience
  • Sales Orientation: Young, ambitious and sales oriented person ideally with a focus on high‑value B2B technical solutions.

Language Requirements (Critical)
  • Native or professional fluency in Italian is mandatory.
  • Fluent professional English is mandatory.

  • Exceptional Communication: Awesome presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse client profiles, from farm managers to C‑level executives.
  • Self‑Starter & Young / Ambitious: Highly energetic, self‑motivated, and able to work autonomously in a remote setup with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive market penetration.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the assigned country to meet clients, attend industry events, and conduct on‑site product demonstrations.
  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Marketing, or a related technical field is preferred.
