A global automation company is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager in Lombardy. This role involves driving the sales growth of COVAL products by forming strong relationships with customers and partners, executing business plans, and managing sales channels. Ideal candidates should have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, strong English and Italian skills, and proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office. Job Mission

Drive the growth of COVAL, one of Piab Group’s brands, by increasing industrial product sales in the Lombardy territory through the development of business plans, effective management of sales channels, and the cultivation of strong relationships with customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of territory business plans that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Assist with sales activities for all industrial COVAL products and accessories to help achieve territory targets.
  • Record and track sales activities, including customer visits and opportunities, using Salesforce CRM and COVAL’s Sales Excellence process.
  • Participate in regular check‑ins with distributors and other channel partners to help drive regional growth.
  • Provide basic technical support to customers and channel partners for COVAL product lines.
  • Collaborate with other COVAL divisions and departments to coordinate sales efforts within the region.
  • Share information with customers and sales channels about new products, application examples, and COVAB’s support resources.
  • Join joint and direct sales calls as needed, based on account potential or strategic importance.
  • Assist with technical training for sales channel partners, OEMs, and end customers through webcasts and site visits.
  • Take part in COVAL-hosted annual distributor/rep meetings, events, and activities. Offer on‑site customer service and technical support for COVAB products.
  • Help with trade‑show preparation and event coverage as required.
  • Provide the Regional Sales Manager and VP of Sales with regular updates on territory activities, opportunities, and any issues.
  • Work closely with inside partners to support the region and contribute to achieving territory goals.
Requirements
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written, and fluency in Italian.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • A general understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • Experience working with manufacturers’ distributors is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions.
