Overview

Agentforce and Data Cloud Architect (AFDC Architect) role at Salesforce. Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Role Description

The Agentforce and Data Cloud Architect (AFDC Architect) is a pivotal, customer-facing role focused on enabling customers to become a true Agentic Enterprise. You will guide transformation by mastering Data and AI as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Agentforce and Data Cloud. Depending on your background, you may specialize in Data Cloud, Agentforce, or both, and engage across the full customer lifecycle from activation in production to maximizing consumption and identifying innovative use cases.

Your engagement includes hands-on activities such as leading technical presales POCs and serving as a trusted advisor to drive adoption and value realization.

Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Responsibilities
  • Strategic Deal Support: Engage with the sales team on strategic accounts; lead technical discovery, design, and presentation of Agentforce and Data Cloud solutions.
  • Workshops & POCs: Define customer use cases and deliver 1:1 workshops, customized demos, and hands-on POCs/Pilots.
  • Solution Architecture & Recommendations: Develop data architectures, provide SKU recommendations, and define credit consumption estimations.
  • Expert Collaboration: Serve as the deep product expert for Agentforce & Data Cloud; partner with global AI & Data teams.
  • Product Roadmap Advocacy: Provide customers with roadmap insights and feedback to product strategy.
  • Post-Sales Handover: Create and deliver comprehensive handover documentation to ensure a seamless transition to post-sales and implementation teams.
Post-Sales Responsibilities
  • Production Activation & Go-Live: Guide customers from a successful POC to production deployment; provide hands-on support to unblock challenges; collaborate with implementation partners, Salesforce Professional Services, or the customer’s Center of Excellence.
  • Performance & Consumption Monitoring: Monitor initial credit consumption and fine-tune solutions; guide updates to the consumption plan.
  • Customer Enablement: Deliver one-to-many customer support motions (webinars, office hours) to scale knowledge.
  • Partner Ecosystem Scaling: Enable strategic partners to build expertise and scale activation across the ecosystem.
  • Strategic Handoff: Manage the transition to other internal teams to ensure long-term customer success.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Architect). Salesforce ecosystem experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (data modeling, ingestion, identity resolution).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical pre-sales cycles (workshops, demos, POCs).
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns, APIs, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for innovation and curiosity for AI and business automation.
  • Willingness to complete a mandatory 6-week intensive training program with Forward Deployed Engineers.
  • Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Certifications
  • Experience with AI concepts and technologies: LLMs, transformers, tokens, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering; familiarity with major clouds and their AI services; agentic planning & reasoning; multi-agent design.
  • Big Data Processing, Data Architecture & Modeling; familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP and Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Agentblazer Legend Status (including AI Specialist) and Data Cloud Consultant certification.
