Job Description
Trainer role is responsible:
- To be the first point of contact for a new joinee in the organization, introducing him/her to the processes at IKS.
- To make the trainee comfortable and get him/her acclimated to the project's workflow and IKS environment.
- To train the new joinees/employees on the respective processes, EHR rules, computer applications and help them achieve business goals.
- To report the batch governance and project status to the Training Manager
Key Responsibilities
- People
- Ensure performance management of new hires/existing staff and monitor their progress through mentoring and coaching.
- Taking accountability of the trainees tagged under this role.
- Ensure batch hygiene, attendance, leave management, schedule adherence.
- Foster employee engagement and satisfaction through regular connects and ESAT initiatives.
- Implement strategies for effective attrition management.
- Collaborate with Manager and internal team, HR, IT, Operations, Quality, WFM, TA and Admin to facilitate seamless batch transitions.
- Take responsibility for obtaining certification in the Train the Trainer program.
- Provide training on HIPAA, mandatory Compliance modules and ISO guidelines to new hires.
- Share the ground realities and observations in terms of people, process and technology (content or assessments) with Assistant Manager/Sr. Manager Training.
- Partner actively in the knowledge transfer process for new accounts as per the business requirement for the process when involved
- Provide batch performance reports
- Deliver pre-process, process, and systems training for assigned new hire batches as per the session plan and SOPs.
- Meet training yield targets, maintain quality, and ensure timely delivery for new hire batches.
- Work with Quality and Operations to align on business updates and communicate them to training batches.
- Identify and report early warning signs or deviations to managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in managing client escalations through Continual Learning Sessions and Process Knowledge Tests (PKTs).
- Working on small Training improvement initiatives/projects to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Coordinate with Manager/Associate Director Training to create training modules and curriculums as per the business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Excellence team to streamline batch progression.
- Keep track and maintenance of relevant documents and trackers to uphold batch hygiene.
- Responsible for supporting the Content Creation Team in content creation and maintenance.
- Conduct Training on encoder pro or any other search engines and tools like Orbit for learning
- To understand and provide training on Coding, productivity tools, client-specific EHR navigation, Tutor and other tech-led initiatives based on business needs.
- Responsible for ensuring that every batch is delivered on time as per defined training timelines
Qualifications
Graduates in in any of the below disciplines:
Life sciences graduates--B.Sc (Biotechnology, chemistry, zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Genetics, etc)
Preferred medical Graduates--MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, BDS or paramedical graduates--BPT, B.Pharmacy, B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc or lab/radiology or any other technician
Mandatory active coding certification such as CPC, CCS, COC, CCS-P
Role Prerequisites
- A minimum experience of working for at least 12 months across the Coding Function is a must.
- Applicants should be flexible and open to working in a rotational shift environment as well as traveling across locations.
Functional Competencies
(knowledge and skill required. Highlight the MUST HAVES)
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD/HCPCS is a must
- Strong strength with the Multispecialty coding - E/M IP, OP, ED, Urgent care coding nuances per the experience of the trainer
- Should be knowledgeable about CMS/AMA-CPT Assistant/AHA Coding clinic nuances for their exp. specialty
- Good Facilitation Skills is a must
- Good Coaching & Feedback skills would be preferred
