Role Overview: Co-Founder (Strategy, Liaison, and Field Leadership)

We are looking for a mission-aligned co-founder, not an employee. Someone who is willing to invest time, effort, and on-ground leadership to build a high-impact company.

This role blends government liaison, research collaboration, farmer mobilisation, field operations, and scale strategy.

You will play a central role in:

• Scaling operations across Assam & the North-East
• Building relationships with government institutions, research bodies, and rural communities
• Conducting on-ground research and pilot studies
• Leading farmer mobilisation and cluster expansion
• Representing the startup in meetings, field interactions, government departments, and partner institutions

This is the right role for someone who wants to build, not just “work”.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government & Institutional Liaison

• Engage with District Administration, Agriculture, Horticulture, Industries, MSME, KVIC, and Rural Development Departments
• Facilitate applications under state and central schemes
• Coordinate field-level approvals, compliance, and government-supported programmes

2. Collaboration with Research Institutes

Act as the primary link between the startup and leading research bodies such as:

• IIT Guwahati (Agri-Tech & Rural Technology Groups)
• ICAR, KVKs, and State Agriculture Universities
• CSIR labs, NECTAR, NABARD-supported research units
• Food Technology and Biotechnology institutes across North-East

Activities include:

• Joint pilot development
• Research-backed trials
• Technology validation
• Data collection and field studies

3. Farmer & Community Mobilisation

• Build strong relationships with FPOs, cooperatives, SHGs, rural entrepreneurs
• Conduct field demonstrations, awareness meetings, and mobilization drives
• Organise training sessions and cluster development activities

4. Research & Ground Analysis

• Conduct market and sector research
• Study crop patterns, agro-residue availability, and local processing potential
• Analyse product-market fit in rural and urban markets

5. Entrepreneurial Leadership

• Drive district-wise scale-up plans
• Manage field operations, supply chain, and pilot projects
• Support investor outreach, documentation, and strategic proposals
• Travel extensively across the region
